The world’s leading trade fair for organic food will once again bring the organic community together in Nuremberg from 13 to 16 February 2024. OPW is looking forward to attending and presenting our latest organic innovations for the plant-based industry as well as our new portfolio of organic ingredients.

Nowadays, people are very interested in gaining an insight into the components used in the food they consume. A growing trend is enabling individuals to become aware of the impact of their food choices, not only on themselves but also on the environment.

One important aspect to consider is the market for gluten-free flour, which has been particularly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The increased focus on health during this global crisis has led to a notable increase in demand for healthier and gluten-free food alternatives. In addition, the increasing number of people diagnosed with coeliac disease, an autoimmune disorder caused by gluten, has led to a growing demand for gluten-free alternatives.

We specialise in the development of innovative almond-based products such as almond oil and ultra-fine almond protein with a wide range of applications in the food and cosmetics industry. At BIOFACH, OPW will be presenting innovative concepts such as almond yoghurt, plant-based desserts with a high protein content and healthy vegan children’s drinks.

Gold linseed flour is a new addition to our product portfolio. It contains high-quality nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, essential amino acids, fibre and important micronutrients such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and iron.

Due to its impressive swelling properties, gold linseed flour is an excellent vegan alternative to eggs in bread and pastries. It is also a valuable ingredient in gluten-free pizza dough, is suitable for thickening shakes and sauces and is useful for making vegetable fritters. This versatile ingredient is used in vegan and vegetarian diets, in doughs and baked goods, spreads and fitness products.

Unroasted pumpkin seed protein is another addition to our production. With a protein content of approx. 59%, pumpkin seed protein powder is a natural source of protein that is well suited to supporting a vegetarian or vegan diet. This plant-based powder can be seamlessly integrated into the diet of people with food intolerances or allergies
